Hello,

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am so excited to work with you and your child!  I’d love to have an opportunity to chat with you face-to-face.  If you are interested, I am willing to do a home visit.  These visits are an excellent way for students to see that we are working together to help them succeed.  If you are interested in a home visit, please contact me to schedule a time.

 

Our school is a blended learning environment.  In addition to classroom instruction, we use technology to help our students learn the core content.  The two computer programs that are mainly used are I-Ready and Accelerated Reader.  I-Ready provides reading and math lessons.  It also assesses students to help teachers understand the areas that need reinforcement. AR is a reading computer program.  It provides quizzes on books the students read.  Your child will receive login information for both programs.

I welcome any help from interested parents. A sign-up sheet and more information will be given to your child on the first day of school. Possible helpers include guest readers, field trip chaperones, and supply donors. Many other opportunities to support Room 103 will present themselves throughout the year and I will keep you informed. If you have any special skills or expertise that may help enhance our curriculum, please let me know :).
